Educational Scholarships - over 100 children living in the mountainous region of Lam Dong are unable to attend school.  Their families are very poor and cannot afford to educate their children.  For just $100/child per year, these children have the same educational opportunities as the children from the village.  Each scholarship pays for their books, uniform, classes, and transportation to and from school.
 

Social Service Sponsorships - provides for the daily living needs of homeless children living on the street or in poor orphanages.

• Street Children - many street children come to Da Lat in Lam Dong Province, which is a tourist attraction, in the hopes of earning money.  They dig through the trash looking for items to sell in order to buy food for that day.  We have partnered with a couple living in the area who are committed to changing the lives of these children.  orphanCare International has helped them to establish a home where these children can now safely live, receive a nutritious meal and obtain an education so that they don't have to remain in such poor living conditions in the future.

• Orphanages - orphanCare International supports five orphanages housing more than 200 children.  Daily living needs are met for each of these children including hot meals, clean clothing, a safe place to live and play with loving caregivers to watch over each child.

Medical Sponsorships - pertain to all special needs for the children including medicine, physical therapy, physiotherapy, special teachers (speech therapy, etc.), doctors, and nurses.  These sponsorships will allow for many children to have much needed surgeries to maintain a healthy life.

• Heart Surgery - 167 children are in urgent need of heart surgeries with some in more critical condition than others.  With funding, these children will be sent to Ho Chi Minh City Hospital where the cardiac surgeons are mong the best in the world.  A pediatric heart surgery typically runs between $750 and $2,300.  But what a small price to save a child's life!  Eight children are recuperating now after recently receiving open heart surgeries through funding provided by generous donors.

• Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery - several children are born each year with this congenital defect.  They need reconstructive surgery in order to eat and talk correctly and be accepted into Vietnamese society.  Just $250 provides the funding for a child to receive this surgery and transform his life!
